Yesterday my Pidgin gone wrong. It connected to gmail accounts but stacked on Yahoo. I didnt even change any settings on it. Why, what happen with my Pidgin…??

After I searched many websites, I found the answer why Pidgin couldnt connect to my Yahoo account. I just had to make a little tweak on the account setting of my Yahoo account in pidgin.

Go to Account|Manage Account then select your Yahoo account and click Modify

On the Modify Account window, switch to Advaced Setting and change the value of the pager server:

scs.msg.yahoo.com

Change to this line below:

cn.scs.msg.yahoo.com

Now, Yahoo account on Pidgin should work again.
