MapInfo tutorial Import dxf into MapInfo using Encom Discover
In this GIS tutorial, I will try to show you how to import dxf file into MapInfo table using Encom Discover. I am using MapInfo version 9 and Encom Discover version 4.01 (old version hah.?) Actually, mapifo already bundled with Universal Translator that also has capabilities to import many other GIS format including dxf. But I prefer using Encom Discover other than Universal Translator. Maybe next time I’ll show how to use this UT.
Follow this steps to get started.
- Open Mapinfo with discover installed
- Navigate to Discover|Data Utilities|Dxf import
- Select your dxf file on the dialog box then OPEN
- Give a name to your imported tab file
- Then a dialog box will show up, choose your projection, and other options then press OK.
- Now, you are finish. You can open it immediately
I also embbed a video tutorial regarding this tutorial.
