How to Increase Photoshop CS4 Performance in Windows 7
I was installed Adobe Photoshop CS4 on my Windows 7 Laptop. i feel this Photoshop runs little bit slower than if it was installed on Windows XP. Especially when i zoom in ad zoom out. This is basically normal, but you still can gain the performance back.
To increase the Photoshop performance inside Windows 7, you can go to Edit | Preference | General. Make sure you uncheck the Animated Zoom. This feature will create and animated zoom in and zoom out in Photoshop. In many graphic card, this features will decrease the Photoshop performance significantly.
Also you can increase the memory used by Photoshop via Edit | Preference | Performance. This option
can improve the Photoshop performance significantly. Here you can enable or disable the GPU Setting-OpenGL Drawing option. The recommended setting is enable the OpenGL Drawing.
