How to install Google Earth in Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04

This short tutorial will show you how to quickly install the Google Earth in Ubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04. As you might known, Google Earth is a popular application that display the satellite imagery of the earth. Google Earth works perfectly on Ubuntu Natty Narwhal. To install Google Earth on Natty, you must have lsb-core installed on your Ubuntu, otherwise you will have some problems or even you can’t install Google Earth at all.

Here is the tutorial to install Google Earth on Ubuntu Natty Narwhal:

1. Open Ubuntu Software Center and search for googleearth-package. Install it as the first.

2. Install lsb-core. You can use the previous method above to install this lsb-core.

3. Now install open Terminal and paste the following command:

sudo make-googleearth-package –force

4. Then wait until your Ubuntu downloading the google earth package. Then go to your home folder and double click the google earth.deb file.

5. Then click install

6. Enjoy Google Earth on UBuntu Natty Narwhal.

Just in case your Ubuntu software center does not come up after double clicking the GoogleEarth package. You can instal google earth using the command below.

sudo dpkg –I package-name.deb

Change the package-name with the actual google earth package.

    Check up syntaxys in row 3, not:
    sudo make-googleearth-package –force
    but:
    sudo make-googleearth-package –force
    I means thath need two dashes before last word :)
