How to install Yahoo Messenger in Ubuntu 11.04

Hi, see you again in Ubuntu 11.04 tutorial. Nowadays, Ubuntu and most popular software developer are more interested in Ubuntu and Linux. Yahoo Messenger is now can be used freely on Ubuntu and other Linux. Even this is not a natively build for Linux system, but at least Linux users can use Yahoo Messenger to chat with friends and family without limit. This short tutorial will show you how to install and use Yahoo Messenger in Ubuntu 11.04. This is actually a Google Chrome app. So you will need to install Google Chrome on your Ubuntu first.

How to install Yahoo Messenger in Ubuntu 11.04.

Open Google Web Store using Google Chrome on Ubuntu 11.04. Then type “Yahoo Messenger” on the search field. Or you can simply click this link to go to the Yahoo Messenger App on Google Web Store. You will see the page link screenshot below.

Then press Install. You will be asked to login with your Google Account if you haven’t done yet. Then wait until installation finished. When finished, you will see the Yahoo Messenger icon appear on your Google Chrome App list.

You can run Yahoo Messenger to start using it. Actually this only a Web messenger that already available from Yahoo website long time ago. But, anyway its useful to me. Have a try.
