Mandriva One 2010 KDE Edition, Review, Screenshots and Download

I have just downloaded the new and latest version of Mandriva One 2010 KDE edition. Now, I want to share about my impression using this Mandriva One 2010 KDE version. You will find a short review, some screenshots and download link for this Mandriva 2010 KDE edition.

On boot, Mandriva KDE 2010 is quite fast, but to me its slower than the Gnome Edition. It takes more than 20 seconds to reach the desktop. Mandriva 2010 KDE comes with KDE version 4.3, I think this KDE version brings many improvements and more stable.

How to block Ads on Firefox

For some reason, we do not want to view many ads often displayed on a website. You may not want to watch the annoying flash animated ads, banner or something similar. If you are Firefox users, you can use Adblock addons to block the annoying ads while surfing on the web. this Adblock will block any ads displayed on a website. You can follow this guide to install Adblock addons to Firefox. In this tutorial I am using Firefox 3.5.3 and Mandriva Linux 2010.
1. Open your browser. Navigate to Tools | Addons. On the Addons window, click the Addon tab and type “adblock” on the search box.

How to configure the network connection on Mandriva 2010

After made a fresh Mandriva 2010  installation on my desktop computer. Next step is to connect to the network to gain access to internet and other network resources on my office. This tutorial will guide you how to configure the network connections on Mandriva 2010. After that you will be able to connect with the internet, and get connected to your home or office network resources.

First, make sure you have a NIC (Network Interface Card) installed on your computer and already detected by Mandriva 2010. I think most current motherboard integrated LAN already supported by Mandriva. It is good to check your existing network details using command below:

sudo ifconfig
