How to install adobe reader 9.1.2 in Ubuntu debian
Adobe reader is the most popular pdf reader in both Windows or Linux environment. Current version of Adobe Reader is version 9.1.2, it also available in many Operating System.
In this ubuntu tutorial, I will show you how to install the most recent Adobe Reader (version 9.1.2), this tutorial is also applied to Debian system. Before you get started, make sure your computer meet the following requirements in order to avoid further problems:
- 32-bit Intel Pentium processor or equivalent
- Red Hat® Linux WS 5, SUSE® Linux Enterprise Desktop (SLED) 10 SP2 or Ubuntu 7.10
- GNOME or KDE Desktop Environment
- 512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
- 150MB of available hard-disk space (additional 75MB required for all supported font packs)
- GTK+ (GIMP Toolkit) user interface library, version 2.6 or later
- Firefox 2.0 or later
- OpenLDAP and CUPS libraries
Now, its time to install Adobe Reader 9.1.2
1. Download the binary file from here.
2. Execute this command to install
sudo dpkg-i AdbeRdr9.1.2-1_i386linux_enu.deb
3. Then you’re finished. You can start using Adobe Reader from Application-Office-Adobe Reader
